Drones represent a significant advancement in modern technology. Accessibility and Cost of Jamming Technology

 

It is worth noting that while some commercially available drone jammers carry a high price tag, the underlying technology can be surprisingly accessible.

This accessibility means that deliberate drone interference can, at times, be implemented simply. For operators of legally compliant drones, this presents a clear challenge.

 

The Evolving Counter-Countermeasure Landscape

 

Industry experts point out that, currently, most drones lack effective technical defenses against artificial jamming methods. However, progress is being made in bolstering drone "anti-jamming" capabilities. Several companies are now developing advanced GPS receivers, anti-jamming modules, and related systems designed to protect drones from signal interference and spoofing, with some solutions already undergoing successful flight tests.

 

A Growing Market for Counter-Drone Solutions

 

Driven by the rise in unauthorized drone flights, the "anti-rogue drone" market has begun to mature. According to a Counter-UAS Market Report released by the research firm Markets&Markets, analysts forecast that between 2017 and 2022, the anti-drone market would grow at a compound annual rate of approximately 24%, reaching an estimated total market value of $1.14 billion by 2022.
